Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All three were rock hoppable.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: I removed all but two blowdowns encountered on this route. One stepover remains just above the first water crossing (probably can be removed with a rock bar) and one about half a mile above the Bald Peak junction (maybe with rock bar and strap). Widowmaker at the Bald Peak junction.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Mixture of black flies and mosquitoes down low when stopped, otherwise minimal.

Comments
Comments: Mt. Kinsman Trail is snow free. Some minor to moderate mud along the first two miles, but the volunteer maintainer has done a great job improving it. Above the Bald Peak junction, there are some mud pits, slippery ledges, and areas of running water. For White Mountain standards, not too bad.

Kinsman Ridge Trail had a couple of small patches of snow just above the junction, and then a few between the peaks. One can get by without touching the snow; most of the patches will be gone in a matter of hours. Otherwise, there is plenty of mud and some puddles, but nothing overly bad for White Mountain standards.

Lots of wild flowers in bloom in the lower elevations.
