ample at piper trailhead and not too busy today. |

Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |

minor crossings a non issue. one major crossing on piper has a bridge. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
some minor stepover blowdowns on nickerson and carter ledge trails. some grown in and brushy sections on those trails as well. |

| Bugs: |
mosquitoes were ambitious down low. some black flies as well, but fairly minor. |

| Comments: |
trails generally dry with notable wet sections and minor mud. most of the open ledges were dry with a few wet spots on carter ledge trail in particular, but not in any of the trickier sections. nice to run into john and pepper up at the summit of chocorua. |
