Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: A few water crossings, only one that involved using some strategical stepping
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: There are no blazes. A good amount of blowdowns around the trail, but none really on the trail.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw at least 20 dogs!!! Everyone took advantage of the beautiful weather and open access Tripoli.
Bugs: A good amount of flies at the tail-end of the hike approaching the lot and at the lot.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Found one Northface glove.
Comments: Beautiful hike. There was snow and some ice at the high elevations but never pulled out my spikes. Very moderate grade. If you don't want to climb the chimney between the peaks there is a bypass. Saw a group of five and one of them pulled a small tree from the ground, bit my tongue not to let out my anger :)
