Comments
Comments: Because of low overcast there were limited views. Anything above 3000 ft was in the clouds. Had planned on only going to the Scaur but that took less than an hour so I continued on Irene's Path to Old Skidder Tr. Took the short spurtrail to the Flume and glad I did. The amount of water going thru the gorge was amazing. Finally a view. Halfway along Irene's Path the trail starts to descend to Flume Brook steeply and I hesitated to keep going because I knew I had to climb back up. I'm glad I kept going because the way back though steep was easy due to the switchbacks and stone steps. Overall a nice enjoyable hike.
