Comments
Comments: I started around 8am. No other cars in the lot yet. Went up carrying a heavy load as a training hike.
Lower part of the trail that is usually very loose gravel/sand was surprisingly packed down. Rocks were a mix of dry and wet, but nothing was dangerously slick. Any snow chunks on the trail were avoidable and not worth mentioning. Mud was mostly avoidable, although it was deep at the 1.2 mile mark when the trail levels out. With poles I was able to stone hop without sinking.
Second half of the trail was dry and clear. Didn't see any other hikers out today.
Ending up taking the tram down to avoid the imminent downpour.
