Nobody was using campsite #3, I parked on the north side of Cherry Mt. Road and far up away from the path to the campsite in hopes no one would thing the site was taken. I was parked there about two hours. |

The trail is officially abandoned but appears to be used enough that a herd path is well established. A few blow downs with paths around them and it could use some brushing. |

The trail is not marked but it is pretty easy to see on the south side of Cherry Mt. Road between campsites 3 & 4. seems wide enough that it must have been an old skid road I am guessing. Nice view ledge at the summit. Nearing the summit a trail from the campground below is affording access to ATVs and they are riding all the way to the summit. There also appears to be a mountain bike trail perhaps coming up from the condos? This is a nice little bump well worth the trip. I met a local resident that was sitting on the ledge when I arrived and he was surprised at my arrival, said he'd been there many times and this was the first time he met anyone there. |
