 | Comments: |
Did a clockwise loop starting at Mt Kineo Trail. Near end of Mt Kineo Trail, on snow machine trail, just after a bridge in front of a small rise there is a confusing set of yellow blazes. We went right onto the old trail along the river. It appears this section of trail has been abandoned, but is still passible. It comes out at the bridge. Except for the flooding mentioned above, no problems on Three Ponds Trail, very few blazes, but path is always clear. Trail has been brushed and most blowdowns removed. Older reports of Three Pond Trail indicated very rough trail conditions but I think they have improved. Hubbard Brook Trail has good blazing except for parts of flooded area. On all four trails never had problems following trail. Only saw three people all day. It took us 8 hrs, approx 14 miles. |
