Comments: As others have said, today was an AWESOME presie day!!!! What a treat!!!! Trails in GREAT shape. I snowshoed the whole thing. Never felt like I *had* to switch to crampons, but, I carried them. Once up the Jewell (got lost part of the way up - SORRY), on the way to George, as usual, I lost the trail when crossing the cog - so I just walked the snowfields around to the right and spiraled up to the summit. On the way back, I hit the snowfields up to Reagan and back down to the Gulfside Tr to Jefferson - good to see Damselfly's group. When there, I met another guy, Ted, finishing his winter 4's - congats to all!!!!! Snow got a little sticky in the afternoon from the sun. Nice to cross paths with Ed & so many familiar faces - WHAT A DAY (for sunscreen & glacier glasses ;))
