Good sized lot on Route 171 (near Castle in the Clouds access road) with plenty of parking. Only a handful of cars today. |

Trails are in good shape with a few muddy spots/standing water to go around. A few blow downs to go over or under. |

Saw several. Most were well behaved. Mine loves these trails. |

Black flies are ruthless if you stop moving. Pulled more than 25 ticks off my legs. Same with my pooch. |

Perfect weather for a great loop hike. Great trails, easy to follow and in good condition. Views, views and more views. Got out early and was surprised by the low number of people I ran into. Had Bald Knob and Turtleback summits to myself. Saw lots of folks closer to the Castle/Shannon pond. |
