Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Some blowdowns along the way, but easy to walk over.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw quite a few dogs out. A few looked to have some difficulty with the rock scrambles approaching the summit of Chocorua.
Bugs: Didn’t bite, but they were annoying.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found:
Comments: Many people out on the trails today. Lots of standing and running water of the trail. Rocks on the trail below tree line were very slippery. Summit of Chocorua was packed. Took a detour on the way down to hit First Sister and Middle Sister. Excellent views from both - Middle Sister should not be missed, with a cool abandoned base of a fire tower on the summit. Took another detour on the descent to see Pitcher and Champney Falls. Only one very small bit of monorail left that you can easily walk around.
