|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Rock hops, all on Mt. Tripyramid Trail (South). Almost got feet wet but managed to keep
them dry. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Scaur Ridge Trail is snow free and in great shape, w/ evidence of recent trail maintenance. (THANK YOU!) Usual amount of springtime blowdowns on ridge, many more on Mt. Tripyramid Trail between bottom of South Slide and Livermore Trail. Waterbars need cleaning there. We unclogged a bunch and flicked about a thousand branches off the trail. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
|
|
| Bugs: |
Black flies at lower elevations but not bad if we kept moving. Saw a big bear on the trail this morning! :) |
|
| Lost and Found: |
Found 1/2 pole. Left at kiosk. Also Citizen Cider can, a water bottle, bits of wrappers, and a button on South Slide. :p Packed out. |

| Comments: |
Scaur Ridge Trail is lovely. Lots of spring flowers in bloom and no snow. Upper Pine Bend Brook Trail has snow/monorail starting at ~3600. We used spikes on a mostly stable monorail. Some bare spots on the way to South Tri, mostly on south-facing sides. Met only two hikers today (mtn. bikers on Livermore Trail don’t count), on South Slide which is steep and loose but free of snow and ice. Some muddy spots on remainder of MTT, worse as you get closer to Livermore Trail. |
