What a nice day on George. Blue skys, sun, and very little wind. Snowshoe up the Ammo and switched to crampons at LOC. Icy crust up to Monroe and across to George. Met Hiker Ed's crew on Mt Washington. They came up the Jewel on snowshoes. I had planned to go down the Jewel but decided to hike down the COG Rail. Met many skiers that were skinning up to ski down. Interesting to see the COG Rail. I have never been on the train or hiked down this way before. |
