Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Did not like the look of the log, so had a fun day with wet feet.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A couple blowdowns to step over. One tangly blowdown soon after the big water crossing with the log. Larger people and packs might have a tricky time of it.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw a few, all well behaved and friendly.
Bugs
Bugs: A generous application of bug spray and a nice breeze kept them away but they were fierce at the end. Bugs everywhere on the road to the parking lot by the field.

Comments
Comments: Very nicely constructed trail. Some brief intermittent patches of monorail near the top but all but one were avoidable by stepping around or straddling. Bare boots were fine. The one unavoidable stretch (no more than 100 feet) had evidence of postholes, but most of the snow was quite solid despite warm temps. Several folks mentioned Rollins to Whiteface was still fairly snowy but that it was getting soft.
