Bugs: Black flies were out...not terrible, but not great. Interestingly, none followed you when approaching the wind turbine. I did pick up a couple of ticks during the short bushwhack to the highpoint.

Comments
Comments: The ski trails are pretty good going now, as the grass is still short. Some mucky areas, but no snow. Lots of wildflowers in bloom, including trillium, bellwort, trout lily, white violet, bluet, and a few others.

From just north of the top of the double chairlift, we took the access road to the upper communication tower. This road is getting pretty rough with some deep troughs, mud, and puddles.

From the westernish end of the tower, we found a trail that leads down to the wind farm (tower 12). Probably the ideal way to get to the highpoint would be to take this trail about halfway to the tower, then head toward the highpoint (I attempted to get it from the clearcut, but the prickers are pretty tall at this point). I think the highpoint is just in the woods, but there is also a bump in the clearcut that is close. I did not see a canister. Excellent views from near the highpoint.

Nice afternoon weather gradually gave way to sprinkles. We were fortunately down and at dinner before the thunderstorms rolled in early this evening.
