Two crossings on Hale required some tricky steps. Feet got a bit wet. |

Hale started out dry. Then was the mud. Then the monorail started. At first, it was easy to navigate around it, but eventually had to walk on the monorail. It was pretty stable, but quite terrifying as you could see deep postholes on either side. I imagine later in the day it would have been treacherous. Spikes helped on the descent. Not sure snowshoes would have done any good. Hale summit was breezy and chilly, but no snow. |
