| Comments: |
19 Mile Brook well packed out with some postholes. Carter Dome Trail badly postholed in places to the ridge then a mix of broken crust, postholes and drifted in trail to the Dome. Once back to Zeta Pass and over to Middle the trail badly postholed in places..These people must have been miserable...many pole deep holes,,trashed and frozen in trail. Trail not freshly traveled from Middle down so we got away from the postholes for a bit. Some frozen crust and mixed powder to north carter trail . Upper North Carter was frozen crust and was a pain at times. Once to the Imp jct the Trail was broken out which made for easier going. No one had been down Dodge cutoff for a bit so we tracked that out. Quite a variety of conditions today spring snow..down below..very wintery up high with some cold gusty winds at times..Good day out |
