| Dog-Related Notes: |
I carried a five month old lab over a few spots. Lots of holes a dog could fall into my lab handle them fine. Traction without a doubt is necessary I put on micro spikes at hancock loop trail. Hiking poles with snow baskets for higher up. Recommend south to north approach as the south descent would be very slippery and lots of deeper holes present on that side. |

| Comments: |
Start early if you can as later in the day the trail becomes a slushy mess. Be prepared to post hole. Makes doing the hike double the work. |
