Lots of people on the trail today!
Wet trail up until about where the switchbacks start, then there was ice that you could easily walk around for a while. Then had to throw the spikes on and walk on the narrow and crumbling monorail up to the top. Postholed a few times, but agree that snowshoes would not be helpful anymore. Summit is snow-free. Had originally planned to head over to Zealand as well but wasn't having a ton of fun with the snow conditions so just made it a quick trip. |
