Several blowdowns on both trails that were duck under or step over. Lots of water flowing on the trail where the water bar should have diverted the water off of the trail. I cleaned some water bars with my hiking poles and the heels of my boots to divert some water off trail. |

| Comments: |
A nice day with temps from 40 to 60, mostly cloudy and some sunny breaks. A few sprinkles just before I got back to my vehicle. No hikers today. The 19 Mile Brook Trail was in fair shape with some mud and flowing water in places. It also had snow for the last 1/2 mile. I put on microspikes when the snow and monorail started. The Wildcat Ridge Trail was all snow with a mostly solid monorail and about 3 inches of new snow covering everything. It was fairly easy to walk on the monorail. The snow depth in places is 4 to 5 feet. Nevertheless a great day to be on Wildcat A. |
