Comments
Comments: There were no fresh tracks on Winter Lion Head, so I opted for the company of skiers. (A hiker said she'd been told Winter Lion Head is postholed and difficult.) Caretaker recommended Left Gully for summit attempt, but only if carrying ice ax and wearing crampons. Got almost to rim and found the wind was stronger than I'd hoped for. Turned around and wished I were wearing a helmet for the intimidating descent.
