Once the switchbacks begin, plenty of snow (about 3', more in spots) with a very narrow monorail. There were enough of us so that there's now a groove in much of the monorail. But microspikes were helpful on descent; and the going is a bit slow. Gorgeous views of the brisk flow in Stony Brook. |
