Comments
Comments: There was a breakable crust on the Carter Dome Trail. It made for slow going. In some places, we could walk on top of the crust. In others, we broke through with every step. Trail is now broken out to the summit of Carter Dome. A few people were bare booting and leaving very deep post holes. Not recommended. Deep drifts in the area of Carter Dome summit. On a clear day (which we didn't have)views from a top the deep snow pack would be impressive, We couldn't find the upper junction of the Carter Dome and Carter Moriah Trail. The trail sign was completely buried.

Another group we met at Zeta Pass broke out Carter Moriah to Middle Carter.
