Comments
Comments: Nice day for a hike; great views from both D and A. Hike up Polecat ski trail was bare until about halfway, and then there were patches of snow, and where there wasn't snow there was lots of mud. Manageable with microspikes. The Wildcat Ridge Trail going from D to A was still covered in snow. The monorail is very narrow and not very stable. It's balancing act, but paying attention to careful footing and taking my time I only postholed a few times wearing microspikes (snowshoes might have helped).
