First part of glencliff is clear of snow/ice so barebooted. Then when you get to that last third where it gets steeper, the monorail and snow take up whole path so I used microspikes. At junction with carriage rd you can can now see the signs (yay!) but there is still snow Once on carriage the monorail was mushy mid-day but able to walk next to it (on/off snow). Above treeline there is no snow, so barebooted again.
That tricky monorail got me a couple of times-- thought for sure it was stable, but alas, it was not.
Overall great day and so happy to be out there. |
