Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: There is a big-ish brook crossing, which was easy, even for the 12 year olds along. We took spikes off and vibram stuck well and hopped from rock to rock...No problem at all. A couple of other smaller brooks, easy rock to rock.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Funky log down where someone hatchet-ed a cut through, but it is really skinny so you climb over or under.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: saw a few. I did not take mine but think the lab could have handled it. I was worried about the monorail, but I think it would have been fine, seeing the few I saw.
Bugs
Bugs: none- why this time of year rocks

Comments
Comments: Need spikes from Jackson trail cut off and up. monorail is tight but solid...started to fall apart only in a few places. If you stayed on, you did not post hole. I never post holed but two in our party did a couple of times and waist deep. Top is dry and snow free. We took our spikes off right when we started climbing rocks...fun hike, varying conditions kept it exciting! Took us about 5.5 hours round trip with lunch on top hiding from the wind. three adults over 40 and two 11/12 year olds.
