Comments
Comments: from where i parked i bushwhacked west to pick up the south ridge of rattlesnake. open woods with rough rocky footing. the south side of the peak is very steep/cliffy and i had to move west to find climbable lines. leaf cover made the steeps fairly treacherous and i resolved to using another descent route. some nice ledgy pitches and some good views at the top of the first steep pitch. after that mostly open mixed woods up to rattlesnake. more good going on the fairly narrow ridge to the north peak with some good peak a boo views and nice ledgy sections to the recognized highpoint. i dropped back to the saddle and then descended east with good woods and moderate grades turning south and hiking through a couple logged areas back to pine hill road and the car. a much easier and safer route than trying to drop back down off the south end of the peak.
