Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: 2 smaller streams were bridged, the larger brook at .9 miles on the Webster-Jackson trail was running heavy and fast - finding our way across was tricky, but we found a good route and it looks like most of the other hikers followed our lead. Hiking poles were nice for some extra stability crossing the larger brook.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: several small blowdowns and a couple of large blow downs on the trails - all were duck-unders.

Comments
Comments: We started off breaking trail - new snow was crusty and heavy - about 3 inches down lower, closer to 5 inches up higher. We let a couple pass us who broke trail the rest of the way to the summit. Trail under new snow was still stable and nicely packed, so as we broke trail we just continued to pack new snow into packed snow with bare boots. No post holing unless we accidentally stepped off the trail - we did a couple of times and went up to our hips. Some folks coming up as we were coming down were using snow shoes and packed the newer snow nicely.

We had to turn around at .4 miles before the summit just before the start of the ledge scrambles - I've had the flu and hit a wall.
