Trail was dry and bare to start, then bare and wet/muddy. Snow started around 2900, put on spikes at 3000. Monorail was quite unstable from 3000 feet all the way to the South peak. Post holed a half dozen times on the way up and a dozen people n the way down. Narrow monorail, too narrow for snowshoes.
Nice day out, great weather. Was nice to get the boots back in touch with the bare ground. |
