Comments
Comments: Nice trail. First half is wide, leaf covered and easy to follow. A steady moderate climb to the halfway point then it was pretty flat. Soon the mud started even as the trail started moderately climbing once again. Trail above this point to the summit is a bit more rocky with occasional roots. Just past an unmarked viewpoint trail there is a leafy clearing where you can lose the trail; just look to the right to see where it continues. Summit is not far after passing two cairns. The summit register is in a traditional wooden trail map holder on a tree just to the left of the summit ledge. We had hoped to continue and do the summit loop but about 100 feet further it became a small pond so we headed back down the way we came. Nice sunny, crisp morning for a hike!
