First 1.8 miles mostly free from snow or ice but lots of of mud. Once you pass the cut off for Bald Peak the patches of snow become more consistent and spikes needed. Monorail is fairly stable but very narrow and hard to always tell if your on it, post holed a few times when either slid off or went wide of monorail. Saw about 12 people all day, some turned around due to monorail but most just took time. Conditions caused a slow down on pace so moved much slower than anticipated. The snow depth in places is still 2-3 feet. |
