Comments
Comments: The BW & Liberty Spring Trail were bare for the first 1.5 miles. The is lots of running water on Liberty Spring Trail. About 15 minutes after the last water crossing, the monorail went from inconsistent to consistent so we donned our light traction. Hillsounds worked better than Microspikes. There are no Snow bridges over water. The monorail was warmer in the morning but softened during the day. Monorails above the Liberty Springs Tent site were narrow and choppy with evidence of lots of postholes and coming off Liberty was challenging. We saw lots of people, about half of whom were not adequately. It’s spring/mud season, please
Pack Traction and snowshoes!
