Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Brook crossing on the Vistamount Trail was quite high but with careful rock hoping we made it across. The many other run off streams were cross able.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: There were several blow downs of all sizes along the way. All were passable including the tree that held the Hurricane Gap Trail sign at the the top of the gap. The trails in general are full of tree debris which often time hide the trail. There is a blow downs right in from of the sign at the junction of Clark and Woodland. As a result we missed turning on Clark by about 100 feet, but then backtracked.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: No dogs seen.
Bugs
Bugs: None.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: none

Comments
Comments: The lower trails, Woodland and Clark, were mostly dry or muddy with very little no snow or ice. Vistamount was mostly muddy except at the Fowler river gap where there was unstable ice and snow, making the river crossing a bit tricky. Skyland and South Ridge had patchs of ice/snow with unstable monorail. Hurricane Gap from the rigged to the AMC High Hut had significant ice and snow with a stable yet narrowing monorail. This was the only place we put our spikes on.
