Comments
Comments: Great day in the mountains. Up Falling Water trail-a bit lumpy from some postholing and frozen tracks but overall quite easy. Water crossings required some rock/ice chunk hopping but again, easy. The Ridge is Bullet proof iced snow and solid ice requiring full crampons for safe navigation. This holds from Haystack to most of the way to Greenleaf hut. Bridal Path is beautiful consolidated trail. Very little wind on the ridge (6-10 MPH max) with plenty of sun giving way to high clouds as the day went on. Gorgeous day for this hike. Saw no one until descending off of Lafayette. Then traffic picked up.
