surprisingly, about 10 cars at the TH at 8:15am on Sunday. I didn't see that many people in either direction, so most likely it was all single hikers who drove alone. |

Good morning out on this southern NH peak, paying my respects to the 'Nock. Recent rains left the Pumpelly Trail a bit wet in spots in the lower els, but fine in the upper sections. Dry, no snow :) Surprised to see patches of ice in areas near the summit (it wasn't that cold), but it was windy and cool. Only a few folks at the summit ~9:45am. Weather held out OK, then started drizzling just as I returned to the car before noon. |
