Comments
Comments: Skied Wildcat in the morning, so I carried my lift ticket as my uphill pass. Lynx was closed, so I opted to take that rather than Polecat (still open; narrow in places). A few bare spots, but otherwise continuous snow for snowshoeing (snow was way too soft to consider booting).

Near the top of Polecat, I hopped into the woods and did the brief bushwhack to the Wildcat Ridge Trail. Still a good 3 feet of snowpack in here (deeper in places on the ridge).

Wildcat Ridge Trail has a monorail on it that's generally about 6" above the snowpack. Fairly stable on snowshoes. I did observe Microspike tracks descending from D, which abruptly ended in a bunch of deep postholes. The normally icy area ascending C is still all snow. One or two very brief bare spots north of C (a few steps each) and on the ski area side of D. Lots of ice cubes on the trail as well, as temperatures dropped during the rain storm. Ended up snowing/sleeting above 3,500 feet for most of the day.
