Many vernal streams crossing the trail were all manageable (and beautiful). |

Several blowdowns. All could be stepped over. |

Found a camo dog leash and left it in the box at the kiosk. |

| Comments: |
Trail was relatively dry until 2800' where water/mud from the melting snow above was first encountered. Just above, the monorail began and persisted to the base of the summit pitch. Monorail was mostly stable but had many postholes, making it tedious. Waist deep plunges rewarded any step off it and it was a laughable high wire act in a few places. Trail was snow/ice free above timberline.
Great hike with Chris, even without the hoped-for views. |
