| Water Crossing Notes: |
Lower run offs are opening up and lots of ups and downs.
Major stream crossing: the water was running fairly well but I thought it would have been worse. JB used sneakers and switched back to boots. I put on my spikes and just went for it. I hit a couple of spots that were about 6inches deep but boots and gaiters served me well. |

The plan was to do Carrigan, Captain, East Hancock and finish on the Hancock's. AAAAHH no way!! The conditions were really tough today, between the narrow monorail and getting soaking wet with the snow turning to rain from the trees. Needed better conditions for a tough bushwhack. Not today!
Sawyer River Road:Starting to see bare spots, but still has slushy snow.
Lower part of Signal Ridge: lots of open areas from recent melting. Very narrow and unstable monorail, and postholes.
River crossing: flowing but not that bad!!
Signal Ridge to the Ridge: snow steadyly gets deeper, but monorail is narrow and very unstablie with the warm temps. Very slow going.
Signal Ridge: combination of bare rock and some monorail remaining.
After Ridge: Deep snow in the woods with narrow unstable monorail.
Many thanks to JB for a great day. Great to run into Larry B. You`re the best my friend!! Glad you are back out there doing what you love!!#awesome
