Comments
Comments: Broke trail the entire. Wore snowshoes up to treeline. Switched to crampons in the alpine zone. 1/4-1/2 inch thick ice crust which we broke through to soft snow. Almost every step we would sink to shins or knees. Very slow going, but a great day to be above treeline. put snowshoes back on for the easy descent down valley way. One of the more rugged hikes this winter. Up to 42 peaks for this winter, 6 to go!
