Comments
Comments: Trail conditions made for a long day for our group. Stretches of the monorail are so unstable that we were postholing while wearing snowshoes, and we had to contend with multiple spruce traps during the bushwack. The snow is melting rapidly at the base, but there are still 4 to 6 feet for most of the trail, and I couldn’t imagine doing this without snowshoes! We had to bushwack a ways beyond the winter water crossing, and that added considerable time to the trek. After crossing, we had no trouble finding Isolation Trail using Gaia, but sticking with it was another matter! As others have said, protective gear and glasses make a world of difference.

Isolation lived up to its name, as we did not see another soul on the trail!
