I ascended Pumpelly in a deluge. The whole trail from start until I hopped up on the ridge was a constant stream up to shin depth. The melting ice coupled with the rain has made for some very inhospitable conditions. There were only a couple small patches of avoidable ice. Dublin was much of the same but with less running water. The trails should be left to dry a week or two pending better weather to mitigate erosion. |
