Most of York Pond Road was several inches of thick ice and pooled water without any sand, very slick, use caution, may still be icey after rains, had 4x4-- park at unknown pond trailhead lot and short walk to trail |

Whole route well packed, snowballing on snowshoes, cabin on cabot is open and was a nice respite from wind--of course rains may change trail conditions. This is a very moderate, never steep snowshoe route. Nice to do in winter. |
