Comments
Comments: Our small group started out with 2 on snowshoes and one with Hillsounds. Within 1.3 miles, we were all in snowshoes for the rest of the day. The monorail is tough to stay on and woe is one who misplaced
a step. Mashed potato spring snow with tons of spruce branches to plow through. Long sleeves and protective glasses are Highly recommended. Despite a report that someone was on the trail yesterday, we saw no fresh tracts at the BW. In fact, we were completely on our own within a few feet of entering the BW. Fortunately, I had a GAIA track from previous hikes so we quickly negotiated our way. We had no trouble following Rocky Branch up but, somehow after rejoining RBT at Engine Hill BW, we took a wrong turn on the descent by following a set of Tracks and ended up a bit right of the trail. No problem as the tracks eventually rejoined RBT.

A tough but successful day. Thank you Guy & Dot & it was a pleasure to meet up with Rick L on the trail and hike together.
