Comments
Comments: Spikes to start. Changed to shoes ~.1 mi up Mt. Osceola Trail. Changed to full crampons going up the steeps where the broken track diverges from the trail and goes out on the slide. Changed back to shoes once on the ridge. Kept them on till back at the steeps then back in full traction. Spikes back on down low. No postholing. A few postholers from a few days ago left the trail in rough shape.
6-10" of new snow on top of many feet of supportive snow up high. Walking in the trees along the ridge.
