Comments: Snowshoes are the way to go below treeline, especially as the temps warm up from here on out. The snow is still extremely deep below treeline offering some unique views. Above treeline light traction is fine, bring your rock spikes too if you have them, expect some ice and hard packed snow below Lafayette.

One in our group, Tim, continued on to Liberty and Flume from Little Haystack, snowshoes are a must through there and don't expect to see more than a blaze or two in spots, it's basically a nice little bushwhack at the moment with cool views from the high snow pack.
