 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I drove to the end of Bemis Mountain Road in Tamworth. The road was not well plowed, so now it is choppy and frozen. I shoveled myself a roadside spot away from houses.
I had though this peak may pose access issues. The hardest part was squeezing in, with respect for homes. Signs indicated that the land is a conservation easement. |

 | Comments: |
After skirting around the farms/houses, I set up to bushwhack the northeast ridge. The woods are mainly open, with a few sprucey sections and some hardwood regrowth. Snow coverage is complete and mainly supportive. The going was steep in places, but never problematic. Highpoint is not recognized. Nice filtered views to Sandwich Range, Presidentials, and nearby Larcom. |
