Began 8:15am. Trail was in great shape in early morning hours. Several post holes along sides of the trail, middle was stable. Some parts of the stable middle were extremely narrow, however, so take care with footing if you don't want to sink. Trail was easy to follow & used microspikes the entire way up. Upon descent, temps rose, snow turned very slushy, sledded a bit going down then switched to snowshoes. Glad to get this hike in while there was still a snow pack, before the mud season. |
