Comments
Comments: There were a few places up top where snowshoes may have been of some use, but I had no trouble with microspikes the whole way, but there are a few places near the bottom where it is a little too slippery for barebooting, and of course that sheet of ice near the summit. The snow is beginning to have that wet feel and often clumps. I found its texture a little too rough for comfortable sledless butt-sliding. Bring butt protection or prepare to walk the whole way back down.
