Comments
Comments: I went over to Adams first to beat the weather. It was windy at the hut and just past J Q Adams but nearly calm at the summit of Mt Adams. I switched from snowshoes to microspikes at the beginning of Air line but there was probably enough snow that I could have worn them to the summit. Put on snow shoes at hut to ascend Mt Madison but only made it a couple hundred yards. Quite rocky with lots of ice so I switched to crampons. Very windy for the last .2 of the ascent. Just hard enough to effect walking for last hundred yards. Nice to meet Todd, Jen and Ryan.
