Small stream on Shannon Trail is still bridged by ice which supported my weight, but it is very this and will be down in the next couple of days. |

Some small trees down on Shannon trail just after the stream. They are easy step overs. |

Found a pair of amber-lens sunglasses (Vivitar) on trail. I placed them in the small kiosk at the Gregg Trail trailhead containing the hiker's log. |

Pretty morning. Trail was still frozen in the a.m. and there was no ice at all until the junction of the Shannon and Summit West trails. Trail was icy until the stream crossing; could have carefully bare booted it but threw on the Hillsounds and made for an easy traverse. After the stream, there was no more ice all the way to the Bennington trail junction and the summit. |
