Parker Trail is clear but a little mushy.
Cliff Walk is icy, then clear, then icy again - you will be tempted to remove your spikes several times; don’t fall for it!
Bald Rock has AMAZING views, it was awesome to see Monadnock so close from that angle. Smith Connecting Link had rivers of water basically running over AND underneath the icy trails. You will absolutely need spikes and waterproof boots - the ice will become less stable with the warmer temps, so tread carefully.
White Cross Trail was all rocks with patches of ice in between - I left my spikes on and aimed for the icy patches. |
